ABC Tresore and Bremer Tresor: what has changed since June 2020

In June 2020, ABC-Tresore and Bremer Tresor merged. Both companies have been operating under the name Bremer Tresor GmbH since then. If you have arrived here because you were looking for ABC-Tresore: you are in the right place, and your point of contact is still based in Bremen.

Two companies that did the same thing for decades are, from a certain point on, better off together than side by side. Combined, we bring over 50 years of experience in the safe business to the table.

★
The most important thing in one sentenceYour contacts, your documents, and your service claims have been carried over. What has changed is the name on the invoice and the address in the browser, not the people on the phone.
What has changed

One shop instead of two

The most visible step was the merger of the two online shops. Previously, both companies maintained separate product ranges with significant overlaps. If you didn't find what you were looking for at one, you had to keep looking at the other without knowing that the other one even existed.

Today, everything is in one place. The total range includes over 2,000 safe models, from small home safes to high-security safes for banks and jewelers.

Before June 2020
Two shops, two product ranges, two phone numbers, two warehouses.
Since June 2020
One shop at bremertresor.de, one product range, one service team, one logistics setup.

For you, this primarily means that comparing is easier. Anyone with a specific requirement, such as a required resistance grade according to EN 1143-1 or a specific fire protection class, can see all suitable models at a glance.

Manufacturing

Why we manufacture ourselves

The decision that took the longest did not concern the shop, but production. After careful consideration, we decided to manufacture our own products in the Bremer Tresor production line, instead of continuing to purchase them exclusively.

The reason is simple: Those who manufacture themselves decide for themselves on material thickness, workmanship, and equipment, and can have what they promise tested. To date, this decision has resulted in 42 of our own series, all designed and certified.

i
Certified means tested, not just claimedOur series carry certifications from VdS, ESSA, and IMP. You can find out how to recognize genuine certification and what the abbreviations mean in our guide Standards and Testing Institutes.
What has remained

The people and the used safes

For years, ABC-Tresore was known for two things: used safes and very direct, personal customer contact. Both have been retained.

  • Former ABC employees now work at Bremer Tresor. If you spoke to someone in the past, there is a good chance you will reach them again.
  • The experience with used safes has been incorporated into the new department. A tested used safe is often a more sensible option for a tight budget than a cheap new one without certification.
  • The personal approach remains. You reach us by phone, not via a ticket system.

Yes. Replacement keys based on key numbers, emergency openings, maintenance and repairs, as well as relocation and disposal, continue to be handled by us as before.
