120-minute fire protection: High security from Bremer Tresor

Reliable protection for documents and data media

With a safe that is fireproof for over 120 minutes, you are optimally protected in the event of a fire. The first priority in a fire is always the safety of all people. Reckless rescue attempts for insurance documents, patents, or keepsakes must be strictly avoided, as it is not uncommon for entire buildings to collapse. With a fireproof safe, such worries are eliminated, as you can rest assured that your belongings are secure.
Once the fire has been extinguished, you can simply remove your documents, data media, and keepsakes from your fireproof cabinet and continue to use them.
There are different regulations for storing paper or data media. While care is taken when storing paper that the safe does not allow temperature increases of more than 150°C, stricter regulations apply to data media. To ensure the undamaged survival of your data and electronic devices, we strictly verify that a fireproof safe for data media does not allow temperature increases of more than 30°C.

Guaranteed fire protection through testing procedures

To guarantee the fire safety of our safes for over 120 minutes, we have them tested and certified by external VdS and ECB-S testing institutes. The fire resistance of the safes is tested according to European EN 1047 standards. The resistance grade is tested separately according to EN 1143-1. The fireproof safes are exposed to fire at temperatures exceeding 1000°C for over 120 minutes. This process not only tests the fire protection of the safe but also measures the temperature inside, as paper, valuables, and storage media can also be damaged by heat.
In addition, the robustness of the fireproof safes is tested via a drop test. While in a heated state, the fireproof safe is dropped from a height of over 9 meters. This tests whether the safe still offers protection for your valuables and documents even after a multi-story building fire. This means that neither flames, combustion gases, nor extinguishing water must penetrate the fireproof safe, and that it must remain functional.
Certifications for data media and paper are distinguished by the permissible temperatures. For instance, certifications for the fire protection of paper end in "P", and those for the protection of data media end in "DIS".
