Furniture safe for home and office
Furniture safes, with their inconspicuous appearance, are generally placed in the home within items of furniture such as a cupboard or a desk. A furniture safe is anchored on the spot there – that is, attached to the wall or bolted to the piece of furniture – so that it cannot simply be carried away. Upon request, Bremer Tresor will handle the installation on-site.
This makes it possible to ensure that all valuable items, documents, and cash are kept in a secure place without the safe being exposed to prying eyes in the living area. The more valuable the items stored, the higher the security class should be.
Areas of application and intended uses
Theft and robbery offenses make up the majority of crimes committed in Germany (see Statista). However, with a furniture safe, you make things significantly harder for burglars and thieves. A certified furniture safe is difficult for criminals to break into. The anchoring also ensures that the lightweight furniture safe cannot simply be carried away.
In your own home, there are marriage certificates, birth certificates, passports, cash, savings books, insurance documents, and many other things worth protecting. These can all be collected and stored in a furniture safe. The security level or resistance grade of the safe indicates how difficult it is to break into it.
Installation and anchoring
Anchoring can be carried out in many environments – such as in cupboards and desks. This keeps the safe secure from prying eyes, and no one will recognize at first glance that there is a safe in the desk drawer or behind the cupboard door. Double floors or back panels, as well as cladding, make the hiding place even harder for thieves to find.
If you wish to safely store items of very high value, a security safe is a good option.
Testing and certification for hidden furniture safes
Furniture safes are safes that are also known as cabinet safes – and for good reason. They are inconspicuous safes that fit into a cupboard. Such a furniture safe provides space for various valuables that you would otherwise store somewhere in the living area or office.
Bremer Tresor is your manufacturer of high-quality, stable, and resistant safes of all kinds. Thanks to our experience and expertise, you can rely on high standards regarding security levels and resistance grades, asset protection, and data protection. We offer furniture safes in different sizes, colors, and with various locks.

Resistance grades and security levels for furniture safes
Furniture safes are tested for their burglary resistance using a break-in test. Depending on the effort, duration, and tools used, they are assigned a security level according to EN 14450 or a resistance grade according to EN 1143-1, just like a gun cabinet or key safe.
The furniture safes from Bremer Tresor belong to security level S1, S2, or resistance grade N/0 or resistance grade 1. You can also get fireproof furniture safes directly from us.
Security level S2: according to EN 14450
In the area of security level S2, these are products with certified burglary protection from an official testing institute. S2 furniture safes offer good protection against mechanical break-ins and can be privately insured for up to 30,000 euros. Commercial insurance is possible up to 2,500 euros.
Ceres
The Ceres series corresponds to security level S2 and, in its smallest version as the Ceres 30, offers space for 1 document folder plus valuables. The largest model in the series, the Ceres 80, can hold 8 folders. The series is available with either a double-bit lock or a combination lock.
Artemis
The Artemis series impresses with 60-minute fire protection according to LFS60P as per EN 15659 and security level S2 according to EN 14450. It includes safes that are versatile as all-rounders. It is available in a small version as the Artemis 40, which fits in many desks, or in a larger design as the Artemis 80.
Resistance grade N/0: according to EN 1143-1
The resistance grade N/0 also features certified burglary protection. The furniture safes from Bremer Tresor that correspond to resistance grade N/0 can be privately insured up to a value of 40,000 euros – commercially up to 10,000 euros.
The Pallas series has two VdS-tested furniture safes in its range, the Pallas 40 and Pallas 45, which guarantee a solid level of security against theft and fire with 60-minute fire protection according to S60P as per EN 1047-1 and a weight of 98 and 105 kg, respectively.
Another model of grade N/0 is the Daimos with fire-retardant properties (optionally with 30 minutes of fire protection). In the small version as the Daimos 50, valuables such as jewelry can be stored. Models like the Daimos 60 or Daimos 80 are also suitable as small furniture safes. In addition to various valuables, six folders find space in these safes.
Heat-sensitive items should therefore not be kept in the Daimos, but rather in the Pallas, as this can offer the one-hour fire resistance.
Please also note that there is little difference in price between resistance grade N/0 and resistance grade 1. It is therefore worth investing directly in the higher resistance grade.
Resistance grade 1: according to EN 1143-1
In the area of resistance grade 1, a furniture safe or its contents can be privately insured up to 65,000 euros, commercially up to 20,000 euros.
In the range of Bremer Tresor, you will find the Nox in various sizes. The Nox 30, for example, is the smallest model in the series and weighs 62 kg. The largest is the Nox 125 at 248 kg.
With the Nox, you also choose between a furniture safe with an electronic combination lock or a furniture safe with a double-bit lock. The larger Nox models can also be equipped with a Kaba-Mauer lock. In addition, the Nox has internal hinges and recessed handles as well as locks (in the version with double-bit or combination lock). It therefore has no protruding fittings and is thus ideally suited for installation in furniture.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
The security of a furniture safe depends on several factors. Certificates regarding security levels and resistance grades provide information on how difficult it is to break into a safe. The weight and anchoring of a furniture safe also influence the security of the safe, as lighter models can be carried away easily and relatively quickly if not anchored.
Anchoring to the floor or wall ensures an extra level of security, as otherwise, light safes could be carried away by thieves. Most safes have pre-drilled holes in the base or back panel for this purpose. Using high-quality screws and professional anchoring ensures better theft protection.
The weight of a furniture safe plays an important role in its security and fastening. The heavier the safe, the more difficult it is for thieves to simply take it with them. Furniture safes from Bremer Tresor are available in various weight classes.
