Drawer safe as a furniture safe: discreet and space-saving
At Bremer Tresor, you will only find checked and tested safes with a security rating according to EN 14450 or EN 1143-1. This also applies to our drawer safes used as furniture safes. While the Lados series offers solid protection as a compact furniture safe, the Calypso model is also available as an extremely robust drawer safe with the certified Security Grade 1 according to EN 1143-1. These safes do not open at the front like conventional furniture safes but feature a practical drawer. This opens up new, discreet installation possibilities, for example, in the lower area of cupboards or under the bed.
Drawer safe in the cupboard
Due to its flat design and ease of access from above through the drawer closure, a drawer safe is particularly suitable for placement in a cupboard, especially in the lower area.
The Lados 50 and Lados 80 models are particularly suitable for this compact installation. They are small and handy and can be anchored twice in the base and twice in the back wall to prevent the entire safe from being stolen quickly. These models are certified according to EN 14450 (Security Level S1). Those who need significantly higher break-in protection and higher insurance coverage should choose the Calypso model with Security Grade 1 (EN 1143-1). All models have been subjected to real break-in attempts. The construction is single-walled; the lid opens upwards, which is excellent for discreet operation. The upward opening of the door offers an additional security aspect, as it is concealed within furniture.
Our models are lined with carpet to protect the stored items from scratches and feature hook rails where keys can be hung separately. This keeps the interior organized.
Drawer safe under the bed
Hiding a safe under the bed presents the challenge of a very flat design. The Lados 100 and Lados 160 models have a total height of 17.5 cm, which allows for positioning under a standard-sized bed. Both models are certified with Security Level S1 and have been extensively tested against break-ins. The handles are designed as recessed silver metal knobs to save space. Thanks to the combination of a compact design, hidden access, and robust anchoring, the drawer safe under the bed is a particularly clever solution for private individuals.
For the Lados 100 to Lados 160 models, there is also a perforation on the inside of the door to hang practical and functional containers that can be used to organize the inside of the drawer.
Drawer safe as a deposit safe
In the area of drop safes, also known as deposit safes, there are two different variants for inserting stored goods. On one hand, there are safes with an insertion slot, and on the other, deposit safes with a safe drawer.
Safes with an insertion slot
Safes with an insertion slot are lightweight security cabinets with an insertion flap that has an anti-fishing device. The Triton series (e.g., Triton 80) from Bremer Tresor is frequently used in the catering industry.
Deposit safes with a drawer
Deposit safes with a drawer offer significantly higher break-in security. These safes are certified according to EN 1143-2. This standard is a variant of the EN 1143-1 standard used for certifying security cabinets. The drop safes are subjected to the same tests. Additionally, the insertion mechanism is checked, as inserted valuables should not be able to be retrieved through the insertion slot. At Bremer Tresor, there are three different series with different security ratings:
| Security Grade | Commercial insurance sum | Commercial model |
|---|---|---|
Security Grade D1 (EN 1143-2) |
up to €20,000 | Anubis (e.g. Anubis 90) |
Security Grade D2 (EN 1143-2) |
up to €50,000 | Midas (e.g. Midas 90) |
Security Grade D3 (EN 1143-2) |
up to €100,000 | Thanus (e.g. Thanus 90) |
