What a gun lock does

A gun lock is a mechanical barrier that is attached directly to the firearm. It blocks the trigger or wraps around the trigger guard, thereby preventing the weapon from being fired as long as the lock is in place. It is opened using a freely selectable numerical code; no key is required, and therefore none can be lost.

It thus covers two situations where a gun safe does not apply: transport to the shooting range or the hunting ground, and the moment when the weapon is temporarily lying outside the safe. It is a supplement, not a replacement.

The disassemblability is the point that makes the difference in practice. Because the lock can be separated into two halves, you can find a spot on even a bulky weapon where it fits neatly without having to thread it over the grip or magazine.

Does the lock fit my weapon?

The decisive number is the opening width of 0 to 1.3 centimeters. Everything that fits into this gap can be enclosed, which in most cases is the trigger guard. If in doubt, measure the thickness at the point where the lock is intended to be placed.

Sorted by model, it is compatible with, among others, the gun safes of the Zeus, Faunus, Hades, Hathor, Argos, Santus, Baldur, and Metis series if you wish to use it there for additional security for individual weapons.
