Outdoor key safes are frequently found in various commercial sectors. Examples include the storage of car keys for car-sharing services or the pick-up and drop-off of hotel room or vacation rental keys. A major advantage here is that the key can be retrieved or returned without personal contact. Such an outdoor safe is also often used for managing master keys for buildings such as schools.

For private use

Secure key storage in outdoor areas can also be very useful for private individuals. For instance, if a spare apartment key is kept there, you have the option of gaining access to your home if you ever lock yourself out. Potential costs for a locksmith can be saved. Keeping a key outdoors is also useful if, for example, a home care service needs access to your home. Even if neighbors are looking after your plants while you are on vacation, they can easily retrieve the key.

The right location

Our outdoor key safes can be conveniently mounted on an exterior wall. They are firmly anchored to the wall using anchoring materials. For some models, it is even possible to have the safe installed flush-mounted. This further increases protection against theft of the safe itself. Due to a special coating, the outdoor key safes are waterproof, but it is still advisable to choose a dry location to protect the lock as well. Therefore, we recommend installing the safe in a sheltered area, for example under a roof, an awning, or in a shed.

Neptun 10 model

This model is characterized by a body and door made of 3 mm stainless steel. As a result, the outdoor key safe is optimally protected against cold, moisture, and heat, and is rustproof. The lock itself is separately protected by additional seals and a cover flap. The model is available with a double-bit lock and an electronic combination lock. The Neptun 10 can be anchored to the wall via the rear panel.

Neptun 10 E model

The Neptun 10 E model is a weather-resistant outdoor key safe that can be walled directly into the structure. This distinguishes it from the Neptun 10. It not only offers your keys optimal protection against all weather conditions outdoors, but also specifically against theft. The double-bit lock or electronic combination lock is additionally protected by an external flap. This ensures that no liquid, e.g., from rain, can flow into the electronics and impair their function.

The right lock

The following lock types are available for the secure storage of keys:

• Double-bit lock: You will receive the requested model with 2 keys.
• Electronic combination lock: The key safe is opened via a 6-digit code.
• Profile half cylinder
