Choosing the Resistance Grade

High level of protection for you: A vault door with resistance grade 3, certified according to EN 1143-1, is excellently suited for securely storing even the most valuable items. With this certification as a benchmark for the insurance industry, an insured value of €200,000 for private use or €100,000 for commercial use is possible; the insurer decides on the actual insured sum on a case-by-case basis. This insured sum can even be doubled by additionally using an intrusion detection system (IDS).

To receive certification, a safe or vault door must undergo extensive tests by the testing institutes VdS and ECB-S. A vault door with resistance grade 3, certified according to EN 1143-1, must be able to withstand even the heaviest tools (such as cutting torches) for a specific period of time.

Such a vault door is suitable, for example, for a jeweler's vault or for storing larger amounts of cash. You can further increase security by integrating an additional safe into your vault room.

Before choosing a resistance grade, you should definitely consider the current or future expected value of the items you wish to insure. While your vault door can be retrofitted later, this involves significantly more effort.

Installation

Installing Your Vault Door

The installation of your vault door with resistance grade 3, certified according to EN 1143-1, should definitely be performed by specialists. We are happy to assist you with this. Please note that our vault doors are generally designed for 24 cm masonry; however, we can also adapt our models to other structural conditions.
