High security through Grade 4 safes

Grade 4 security safes belong to the Hektor series. These safes are tested for their resistance value by official testing institutes such as the ECB-S and the VDS. For this purpose, the Grade 4 safe is subjected to professional break-in attempts using mechanical (e.g., crowbars) and thermal (e.g., cutting torches) tools in accordance with EN 1143-1. The Hektor safe model has passed these tests without question and features a resistance value or RU (Resistance Unit) of 120/180 RU. 120 RU means that 120 units were required to achieve partial access to the safe. 180 units, i.e., 180 RU, were used to achieve a full breakthrough. The resistance grade of a safe is linked to the possible insurance sum of its contents. We therefore recommend that you consult your insurer about the required resistance grade before purchasing a safe. Depending on whether you use the safe privately or commercially, different sums are estimated. Grade 4 safes are insurable for private use up to a sum of €400,000 and for commercial use up to €150,000.

Burglary protection and fire protection

Security safes in the Hektor series not only offer high burglary protection but also reliably protect your valuables against fire and intense heat. Fire safety was tested for 30 minutes in a fire chamber at over 1000 °C. The interior of the Hektor did not allow a temperature increase of more than 150 °C and thus achieved the fire safety grade LFS 30 P. Lock system and features of the Grade 4 safe

You can adapt a Grade 4 safe according to EN 1143-1 to your needs and preferences. You can choose the ideal security safe for your valuables from various sizes. Please plan for a little extra space so that your safe will still offer you sufficient room in a few years' time.
For example, we offer various lock systems. Our safes are equipped with a double-bit lock as standard. However, you can also replace this with an electronic combination lock with or without emergency opening. When making this decision, please note that a Grade 4 security safe with a key lock implies that a key must be kept outside the safe. For this reason, the police recommend keyless security safes to avoid vandalism.
If you decide on a key lock, do not store the key unprotected in the same building.

You also have the option of supplementing your safe with an alarm system. If you equip it with an intrusion detection system (IDS), the police and/or you will be notified in the event of a break-in attempt. This can be set individually. Delivery by freight forwarder is carried out by us (excluding islands) at ground level or "curbside" free of shipping costs. We deliver your safe discreetly and reliably.
