Fireproof through official testing
The fire protection of a furniture safe is guaranteed by certification. Maira, our fireproof furniture safe model, features certified fire protection as well as certified burglary protection. The fire protection class LFS 30 P guarantees that the fireproof safe will withstand fire undamaged for at least 30 minutes. Certification according to LFS 30 P is carried out in compliance with European standards EN 15659 and additionally requires that the fireproof safe does not allow an internal temperature increase of more than 150°C. It is also assumed that the fireproof furniture safe is watertight, so that extinguishing water does not destroy electronic contents or paper. Higher fire protection classes are tested according to EN 1047 standards. These tests for fireproof safes include fire tests of 60 or 120 minutes. Additionally, the safe is dropped from a height of over 9 meters while in a heated state to test its drop resistance in the event of falling through floors. Burglary protection
Burglary protection is also provided with a fireproof furniture safe from Bremer Tresor. The Maira safe, for example, features security level S2, which requires a certain level of security during testing according to EN 14450 guidelines. The tests are conducted by official testing institutes such as ECB-S and VdS, ensuring independent quality control of the safe. Security level S2 according to EN 14450 designates a security cabinet. A high-security safe is tested according to EN 1143, which requires a higher resistance grade. You should choose the security level based on the value of your valuables, as this class determines how you can insure the contents of your fireproof furniture safe against theft. For instance, with security level S2, you can insure your valuables against theft with your property insurer up to a value of €20,000.
