Intended Uses

Class 1 key safes are flexible and can be used for both private and commercial purposes – choose the variant and size (hxwxd) from our large selection that best meets your individual requirements.
For private use, smaller safes are generally sufficient, while still offering enough space for the many keys a household requires. For example, your car key is effectively protected when stored in a key safe. An outdoor safe can also be practical for private use. For instance, you can securely pass on house keys to relatives without having to be there yourself.
Larger key safes are generally used for commercial purposes – key management systems are possible, allowing several thousand keys to be stored in an organized and secure manner using key hooks. Key safes are an indispensable investment for businesses such as hotels or car dealerships.

Which lock system is suitable?

The lock system is one of the most important selection criteria for your safe – each has its own advantages and disadvantages. Choose between:

• Double-bit lock: Usually the most affordable option, for which you do not need to memorize a code; however, a lost key can be dangerous.
• Combination lock (electronic): Very secure and convenient to use, but requires a power supply and is susceptible to low temperatures and humidity.
• Combination lock (electronic) with emergency key: Combines a double-bit lock with an electronic combination lock. This ensures a key can always be used in an emergency.
• Kaba Mauer lock: Combines a hidden double-bit lock with an electronic combination lock; maximum security and burglary protection, as well as several programmable special solutions, but also higher acquisition costs.

How do I install the Class 1 key safe?

To fully guarantee the security of the safe and its key contents, it is essential that the unit be firmly anchored. Anchoring to the floor or wall is particularly secure. In exceptional cases, such as in rented apartments where this is not possible, anchoring inside a cabinet can be considered as an alternative. An unanchored safe often invites burglars to take it away entirely and break it open in a quiet location.
The location of the installation will generally depend on your specific intended use. If the safe is primarily to be used for leaving keys for others, outdoor installation is often practical. Before installation, make sure to check for suitable wall conditions and choose a position that is not in plain view. Furthermore, not every lock system is equally suitable for use in weather-exposed conditions. If key management is the priority, the key cabinet is generally placed indoors, for example in reception areas.

We offer free shipping on all models. We deliver your selected Class 1 key safe discreetly in neutral vehicles so that no observer will realize your order is a safe. Safes weighing 31 kg or more will be delivered by a freight forwarder, while deliveries weighing less will be sent as parcel shipments. The free standard delivery includes "curbside" drop-off. Upon request, we also offer the option to book delivery up to your desired location, including stairs. We can also perform the installation of the key safe. Our specialized team handles these delivery services.
