Security Level
Before choosing a safe, you should first decide on a security level, also known as a security grade. All safes from Bremer Tresor are tested and certified by official testing bodies, such as VdS Cologne.
The deciding factor for a specific security grade is the value of the items you intend to store in the safe. As insurance sums for commercial and private purposes differ, you should consult your insurer in good time. Security levels describe the degree of resistance of a safe. The higher this value, the harder it is for unauthorized third parties to open the safe.
In our online shop, you will find safes according to VdS 2450 or EN 1143-1 from Grade N/0 to Grade 6, as well as security cabinets of security levels S1 and S2 according to EN 14450. In addition, the obsolete safe security level B is still in use, but should only be considered as an additional certification.

Fire Protection
Fireproof safes offer you additional protection. They not only protect your valuables from fire for a certain duration, but also from high temperatures.
Therefore, before purchasing a safe, you should carefully consider what you would like to store in it. Data media are more heat-sensitive than paper, so a higher level of fire protection, such as S60DIS according to EN 1047-1, is necessary for them.
Legal Requirements
Before choosing a safe model (e.g., furniture safe or security safe), we would like to inform you about some legal requirements.
If you intend to store narcotics or weapons, you must follow specific legal guidelines, which also relate to the security levels.
Regarding weight, the following must be noted: If it is under 1000 kg, the safe must be firmly anchored so that it cannot be removed.
Configuration
We want to provide you with a safe that meets all your requirements. That is why you have the option in our online shop to configure your safe individually. The following questions will help you with the assembly:
- What dimensions (internal dimensions, external dimensions in cm) should your safe have?
- With which lock should the safe be opened (key, combination lock)?
- What budget (in EUR) have you planned?
Service
Our own logistics department delivers the safe to your home. But our service does not stop at the doorstep; we help you with relocations, emergency openings, maintenance and repair, and much more.
