Small Class 0 gun safe
The security class (or grade) determines how many firearms or how much ammunition may be stored in a small gun safe. At Bremer Tresor, you will find small gun safes in all security classes that are certified according to EN 1143-1.
In the compact Class 0 version, you can store up to five handguns and an unlimited number of long guns as well as ammunition securely and in compliance with the law. If the small gun safe weighs more than 200 kg, you may store ten handguns in it. Below is an overview of the regulations for Class 0 and 1 gun safes.

Small Class 1 gun safe
In Class 1 gun safes, whether small or large, you can store an unlimited number of handguns and long guns as well as ammunition. There are no restrictions here.
It therefore depends solely on your personal preferences and storage requirements whether your gun safe is small, light, and inconspicuous or large and bulky. In the Bremer Tresor online shop, you will find a multitude of small Class 1 gun safes according to EN 1143-1.
- With dimensions of just 44 × 33 × 16.5 cm and a weight of 30 kg, the Argos 2 is one of our smallest Class 1 gun safe models. It holds two handguns on its magnetic weapon holders on the back panel.
- The Baldur 3 is a small gun safe for three long guns, which also provides space for handguns and ammunition in its side storage compartments. At 125 × 30 × 30 cm, the safe is very narrow and space-efficient.

You require a handgun safe with resistance grade 0 or 1, certified according to EN 1143-1, for storage. Depending on the size, you can store up to 5 handguns in resistance grade 0
In a class B safe, you can store 5 handguns and an unlimited number of long guns as well as ammunition. If the safe weighs over 200 kg, 10 handguns may be stored inside. The classification as a class B safe is no longer current and has not been permitted for the storage of weapons since 2016. Gun safes of class B purchased before 2016 are subject to grandfathering and may continue to be used. At Bremer Tresor, you will find gun safes certified according to EN 1143-1, which are therefore permitted under the current Weapons Act.
