|---|---|---|---|
Double-bit lockMechanical |
The double-bit key lock is regarded as the classic, proven security standard for safes. It works purely mechanically and offers maximum reliability without depending on batteries or electronics. Locking is done with a solid key whose special bit geometry provides a high level of protection against manipulation attempts. As there is no code to forget, this lock requires very little maintenance, but the key must be stored carefully to prevent unauthorised access. |

Combination lockElectronic |
The electronic combination lock offers maximum security through two-level logic that corresponds to the proven PIN/PUK principle of your smartphone. While the 6-digit user code allows convenient day-to-day access, the 7-digit supercode serves as the master level for opening or resetting the safe securely at any time if the PIN is forgotten. Intelligent software gives you an audible warning in good time when the battery is low; should the power be completely exhausted, simple emergency power can be supplied from outside at any time. This system offers maximum flexibility and effectively protects against a costly emergency opening without compromising the integrity of your safe.

Kaba MauerMechanical · Electronic |
The Kaba Mauer Combi B 90 is a highly professional electronic combination lock that offers maximum fail-safety thanks to its integrated mechanical redundancy (override). It is conveniently operated via an 8-digit keypad and offers extensive management functions for up to 90 different users. The special feature of this model is the “override” function: should the electronics ever fail to respond or the code be forgotten, the safe can be opened purely mechanically at any time using a physical override key. It thus combines state-of-the-art digital security with a classic mechanical fallback.

Frequently asked questions
The Hathor is certified to EN 1143-1 and achieves resistance grade 1, which corresponds to a resistance value of 30/50 RU. The certification was confirmed by the testing institute ECB-S.
The Hathor has resistance grade 1. As a guideline, the insurance industry allows up to 65,000 euros for private and up to 20,000 euros for commercial cover; the actual amount is determined by your insurer in each individual case.
The Hathor is classified as fire-retardant, but this series does not have its own standardised fire protection certification.
The Hathor is designed for floor anchoring; the back wall is already prepared for additional anchoring but is not drilled through at the factory.
The Hathor is designed for the secure storage of long guns, handguns and ammunition.
A partition with a shelf section, a separate storage compartment, storage compartments in the door and a cleaning rod holder.
In the Hathor 7, 17 and 25, the gun racks are arranged in two staggered rows and hang in slots in the side walls. You can adjust their height and depth to suit your guns. Both rows can be removed and swapped.
Yes. You adjust the height and depth of the racks so that the objective lens touches neither the back wall nor the door, and even large scopes fit side by side. As a guideline, at least half as many scoped guns will fit as the cabinet has gun slots. If all your guns have scopes, remove one row and use the cabinet with a single row; each gun then has even more space. Our advisers will be happy to work out with you exactly how many will fit with your optics.
The door leaf of the Hathor can be unhinged for transport and accounts for around 30 per cent of the total weight. With the door removed, the body is much easier to carry, and the door is rehung upstairs. On request, our own team will carry it up the stairs to the place of installation as a bookable service; standard delivery is kerbside.
With the double-bit key. Insert it and turn it, and the handle then releases the door. The double-bit key lock works purely mechanically, with neither code nor electronics. Two keys are supplied.
As the double-bit key lock works purely mechanically, there is no backup code. If both keys are gone, our service team opens the unit and replaces the lock. As long as one key or the key number is still available, we make replacement keys.
No. The double-bit key lock works entirely mechanically and is permanently ready for use, without power, without battery changes and without electronics that could fail.
With a double-bit key lock, what counts is possession of the key; there is no user management. All authorised persons share the available keys. If you want to grant and revoke access individually, choose an electronic lock.
Whether your unit can be converted depends on the bolt mechanism. Our service team checks this based on the model and year of manufacture and installs the new lock.
Via the keypad, using a six-digit user code. Once the code has been entered, the Stellar Basic unlocks electronically, and you then release the door using the handle. This version has no key.
On the Stellar Basic, the seven-digit supercode then opens the lock. It lets you open the safe and set a new user code, on the same principle as the PIN and PUK of a mobile phone. If the supercode is also lost, our service team opens the safe.
The Stellar Basic retains the code without power. If the battery is flat, you apply a 9V block battery to the emergency contacts from outside and open as usual. Before that, the lock gives an audible warning every time it is opened as soon as the voltage runs low.
The Stellar Basic has one user code shared by all authorised persons, plus the supercode. This version does not support managing several people with their own codes. If you need that, choose the Kaba Mauer Combi B 90 or the TwinLock C800.
Yes, with the door open and as often as you like. Always test the new code on the Stellar Basic with the door open before you close the safe.
Using an eight-digit keypad. The Combi B 90 also has a concealed double-bit key lock as a mechanical override, which can be used to open the safe even without power and without a code.
The Combi B 90 manages up to 90 users with their own codes, plus a master code and a manager code. Each user can be blocked and re-enabled individually without having to change the other codes.
The battery compartment of the Combi B 90 is on the outside, so it can be changed with the door closed. Independently of this, the override key opens the safe purely mechanically and needs no power.
Yes, via a separate code, provided an intruder alarm system is connected. The Combi B 90 has the necessary connection for this. Without an alarm system, the function is not available.
Yes, it is adjustable. The delay protects against robberies, because the safe cannot be opened immediately under duress, and it meets the requirements that insurers set for commercial cash holdings.
No. The SELO-BR additionally requires a valid PIN code from another person, and the fingerprint and PIN code of the same person are expressly not sufficient. In practice, the fingerprint function is therefore a two-person authorisation.
Seven or eight digits; you set the length in the menu. A default code is stored at the factory, which you should change immediately after commissioning.
The SELO-BR is tested to EN 1300:2018 and rated in ECB class B.
After three consecutive incorrect entries, the SELO-BR blocks access for five minutes. After that, entry is possible again.
The display of the SELO-BR shows the battery charge level. The lock also has a reserve mode with a stored administrator or user code.
