Electronic combination lock
As standard, we equip all our products with a double-bit lock and supply two keys. Since it can be uncomfortable if people around you recognize a safe key on your keychain or if you want to allow several people access, we recommend upgrading to an electronic combination lock.
The electronic lock is very popular because it can be opened via a simple PIN combination. If the code is entered incorrectly several times, the safe is locked and can then only be opened with the master key. The safe is always powered by a battery. If the battery is empty, the safe can be powered from the outside by holding another battery against it, so that the safe can be opened and the battery replaced.
Security levels: What you should look for
You can choose from different security levels or classes. Each security level offers a different insurance value. Do you already know which valuables you would like to store in your safe? If so, choosing a suitable security level will be easy for you. Our safe experts have summarized all the important differences for you in a table:
| Security level | Properties | Insurance cover for commercial use | Insurance cover for private use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Security level "S1" | Extensive protection against mechanical burglary tools for door and body. | – | € 5,000 |
| Security level "S2" | Extensive protection against mechanical burglary tools for door and body. | – | € 20,000 |
| Resistance grade 1 | Features see text resistance grade 1. Resistance value 30/50 RU*. | € 20,000 | € 65,000 |
3 tips for wall mounting
- Wall material & building structure
- When preparing the hole for your wall safe, we recommend a wall frame of at least 100 mm around the safe. Pay attention to whether the wall is a recommended brick wall (very often the case) or whether it is a clay wall (which we advise against).
- The right location
- Niches under stairs or walls are often used, rooms that are very rarely used. Regardless of which wall you choose, keep this information to yourself to increase the protection of your valuables.
- Concrete work
- When preparing the correct concrete mixture, make sure to create a flowable concrete (= rain consistency). This consistency is slightly fluid when poured. Ideally, use a free-fall mixer for consistent concrete quality.
We recommend having the installation carried out by a mason. Thanks to experience and professionalism, a firm connection between the wall and your wall safe with combination lock is guaranteed.
