Safe VdS Class N/0: the entry-level model according to EN 1143-1

What differentiates this selection from Resistance Grade 0

Class N, also written as N/0 or 0/N, is the lowest tier under EN 1143-1 and corresponds to Resistance Grade 0. Both designations refer to the same test; the only difference is the testing body.

The entry level for insurable classes

These are guideline values from the insurance industry and not a guarantee. Anyone choosing this class should coordinate the sum with their insurer beforehand, as it is the lower limit of what is insurable at all.

A requirement, not an option

In this class, professional floor anchoring with concrete expansion anchors is part of the classification. Without it, the insurance rating generally does not apply as long as the safe weighs less than 1,000 kilograms. We supply the appropriate anchoring material and can handle the installation upon request.

The available designs for Class N

The classification does not dictate the design. You can get the same class in very different formats:

• Wall safes, which disappear into walls or furniture
• Fireproof safes, which are additionally tested against fire
• Furniture safes for cupboards and sideboards
• Value protection safes as freestanding models

The installation site, not the class, determines which one fits. Both can be combined freely.
