Safes in Berlin: ordered today, installed next week
We have been planning, building, delivering, and installing safes since 1978. For Berlin, this means: free preliminary consultation, fixed appointments, delivery to the point of use, and professional anchoring by our own technicians.
Start the Safe FinderBuying a safe in Berlin: it's all about how it gets into your apartment
Choosing a safe is one thing. Getting it to its destination in Berlin is often the harder part. Pre-war buildings with narrow stairwells, wings in the backyard, fourth floor with no elevator, loading zones that require permits: these are the issues we clarify before you order, not on the day of delivery.
We deliver to Berlin and Brandenburg using our own transport department and trained personnel. Standard delivery is to the curb. Upon request, we will bring the safe to its place of use, carry it up stairs, and anchor it where it is intended to stand. For safes weighing about 150 kilograms or more, transport by specialists is mandatory; anything else risks damaging the stairwell and the device.

Anchoring in a rented apartment: what is permitted
A safe weighing under 1,000 kilograms must be anchored, otherwise the insurance coverage is void. In a rented apartment, that means drilling. The good news is that professional anchoring is considered normal use and can be removed with minimal residue when moving out. Nevertheless, we recommend informing your landlord in advance to avoid later discussions.
- Floor anchoring is the first choice; it provides the best hold and is invisible from the outside.
- Rear wall anchoring is the alternative if floor mounting is not possible, for example due to underfloor heating or historic floorboards.
- Both options are installed from the inside. No bolts or profiles remain visible on the outside of the safe.
- We inspect the surface on-site. In the case of drywall or old wooden beam ceilings, we will tell you what is actually load-bearing.
Which safe fits in a Berlin apartment
In older buildings with high ceilings and load-bearing floors, the selection is vast. It gets tight in new apartments with thin screed floors and in attic apartments. In those cases, we prefer a compact furniture safe or a wall safe that disappears into the masonry rather than a heavy standalone model.
For everything else, it depends on what you want to store. The resistance grade according to EN 1143-1 determines the amount your insurance will cover. If documents or data media are involved, the fire protection class is added. Both together determine the model; the city does not matter, but the route into the apartment certainly does.
After the purchase: service in Berlin and Brandenburg
We are still here for you even after the safe has been installed. This includes emergency openings if you forget your code or lose your key, replacement keys, retrofitting a combination lock, and relocating the safe if you move within the city. We can also handle the disposal of an old unit, often during the same appointment as the new delivery.
Not sure which model is right for you? Use the safe finder or give us a call, and we will walk through the situation together.
